How I spent Easter weekend

East Garden 04-09-15

Cutting up wood, building brush piles for birds, transplanting currants and mulching them, and spreading manure and straw on the garden. All good hard work and not one gas powered machine was used. The weather was pleasant enough and there were many juncos and sparrows chirping in the drive and edges of the yard.

And I dyed some eggs with sumac juice. The results were strange.
